Who is responsible for your data?

What data do we collect, and why?
- Contact form : name, email address, subject and message, to respond to your request (legal basis: your consent).
- Request to join the members’ area : username, email address, full name, requested membership category, optional introduction and consent, to review your membership request and manage the life of the association (legal basis: performance of the membership and compliance with the articles of association).
- Member profile : the information you choose to add (city, field, skills, languages, LinkedIn…), to enable mutual support between members (legal basis: your consent). Every field is optional and you choose who can see it.
- Membership fees and donations : bank transfer details, for bookkeeping purposes (legal basis: legal obligation).
We collect no data on nationality, residence status, health, opinions or religious beliefs.
Who can see your data?
Your data is only accessible to the association’s administrators and, for member profiles, to other logged-in members according to the visibility settings you choose. The member directory is never visible to visitors who are not logged in. Your data is never sold, rented or transferred.
Our technical processors are our hosting provider, Hostinger (servers in the European Union), and our email delivery service, which runs through the same provider.
How long do we keep it?
- Contact messages: 12 months after the last exchange.
- Rejected membership requests: deleted upon rejection.
- Member accounts: for the duration of the membership, then deleted 12 months after it ends, except for accounting information we are legally required to keep.
- Technical log of emails sent by the website: 14 days.
Cookies
The website only uses technical cookies required for it to work: logging in to the members’ area, remembering your chosen language and security. No advertising or analytics cookies are used. Fonts are hosted on our own server: no data is sent to Google when you visit.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, its rectification, erasure or portability, or the restriction of its processing, and withdraw your consent. Members can edit their profile and delete their account themselves from the members’ area. For any request, write to contact@reacted.eu.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with theData Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels – www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
